46 Design was tasked with producing a publication that illustrated the research for Community based company Armstrong Cameron. Their project “Telling Stories” is a project that collected the oral histories of the West Indian experience from residents in Bradford from the sixties through to now. The idea was to produce something engaging that fell within the remit and house style of Armstrong Cameron’s branding as community arts-based organisation.

When approached by Lloyds Bank, the remit was to design a full spec design for their internal ‘Fountain’ intranet solution.

This included branding, in-house graphics and initial web design, with the brief of promoting the simplicity of the system while staying within the house style.

This project was welcomed by Lloyds and led onto various other internal design projects.

Sutcliffe Furniture has been manufacturing high quality furniture since 1887. Having had many brochures and catalogues produced over the years they decided they needed print collateral that mirrored the quality of their furniture.

Compact room-sets balanced with simple product shots gave the brochure design a quality that belied the actual budget.

After the success of the previous Report and Accounts and its positive reception, Chevin required another one. The brief was essentially the same except concentrating on projects undertaken by the association over the previous year.

“If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it” was the solution for the concept but a simple design style was employed to keep the subject matter fresh.

After the success of their original brochure, Bronte Carpets needed to promote their new range of carpets, this time they felt they wanted to show their carpets more in context of interior settings. Like their original brochure, the emphasis was impact. Each spread was treated as an advertisement and the photography was designed around the copy lines thus making the layouts useable as advertising collateral.

As a global player Linpac Packaging are a massive supplier of convenience food packaging throughout the world. Their brief was to take a more consumer friendly lifestyle direction to what was essentially an everyday product. The focus across all the brochure designs was a mixture of lifestyle photography illustrating day-to-day scenarios, involving both models and small room-set shots and also simple clean product photography used in day-to-day sitations.

One of the spin off projects from Lloyds Bank was their charity ‘Return”. This charity was set up to highlight the problems when a loved one has died abroad and the implications and stress involved with this process.

Chevin Housing a large housing association covering most of Yorkshire and parts of Lancashire, required a Report and Accounts design. Previous years had seen them produce these in-house but they felt that heir efforts were falling short. The brief was to engage their shareholders both by informing them of the yearly financial outgoings but also inform them of their progress over the year. The answer was to take a macro view of the association by interviewing  both Chevin residents and staff  looking and highlighting their hobbies and pastimes. emphasising  the associations\’ aims.  The Report and Accounts was well received by the Chevin and all involved.
